About Carrie:
Carrie Stanley is a multidisciplinary artist based in Hove whose work explores personal history through a deep connection with environment, memory and colour. Drawing on an archive of family analogue photography and an interest in colour psychology, she creates a narrative that is both intimate and expansive. Her practice spans painting, experimental drawing, performance and installation, and she approaches each medium with a sensual and instinctive awareness that supports a transformative and reflective process of creative healing.
Stanley studied at the Lorenzo de Medici Art School in Florence and at Turps Art School in London. She has exhibited internationally and her work is held in collections including Galleria Napa in the Arctic Circle, Forum Grandela in Lisbon and The Beaumont Hotel in London. She received an Arts Council Grant in 2022 and was shortlisted for The Sussex Contemporary Prize in 2024. Her work continues to attract collectors who appreciate thoughtful multidisciplinary practice with emotional depth and a strong contemporary voice.
